(Brockville) – The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) Champions for Kids Foundation (C4K) held its annual general meeting November 26, where two new executive directors were appointed.
Lombardy Public School Principal David Morrison was appointed as 2nd Vice-President of C4K, while Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute Vice-Principal Christie Reitsma was appointed as Co-Director of Fundraising.
Morrison, formerly the Co-Director of Fundraising, is replacing outgoing 2nd Vice-President Terry Davies who is retiring from the UCDSB at the end of January. Reitsma will be replacing Morrison in his former role.
Also retiring is Lise Grondin, UCDSB executive assistant, who volunteered with the C4K disbursements committee.
“Terry and Lise have been invaluable supporters of the foundation,” said Carole Dufort, C4K president. “Their contributions have made a huge difference in the lives of many children. We will miss them dearly, but wish them well on their next chapter in life.”
In addition, a motion was passed to approve the 2014-2015 financial statements of the foundation, audited by Bennett McMahon Stillar. The auditor appointed for the 2015-2016 financial year is MNP LLP.
