The Champions for Kids (C4K) Foundation is celebrating the success of its 19th Annual C4K Golf Tournament, held Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Smiths Falls Golf and Country Club. Thanks to the incredible generosity of golfers, sponsors, schools, volunteers and donors, this year’s tournament raised over $72,000 to support students across the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB).
A total of 147 golfers hit the course for a day filled with friendly competition and giving back. The tournament continues to grow each year, and this year’s event reflected the strong community of supporters behind the C4K Foundation.
A special highlight of this year’s tournament was the presentation of the second annual Heart of a Champion Award, recognizing two long-time supporters who have made a lasting difference for C4K and the students it serves. David Beatty and David K. Thomas were honoured for their ongoing dedication, generosity and commitment to supporting local students and creating opportunities for them to participate in sports, arts, music and other extracurricular activities.

The C4K Golf Tournament is the foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds helping provide financial assistance for students to participate in sports, arts, music, leadership and other extracurricular opportunities in the community. These experiences give students the opportunity to discover their passions, build confidence, make connections and feel a greater sense of belonging.
