ADHS Fundraiser for C4K

March 6, 2026 (Almonte, ON) – The Champions for Kids (C4K) Foundation is recognizing the efforts of students at Almonte District High School (ADHS) after they raised $549 in support of students across the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB).

The funds were raised through the school’s annual Bingo fundraiser, a tradition held during the last week of December. Students donated $2 each to participate, and the game was hosted virtually through Microsoft Teams during class time. The event was organized and run by the ADHS Student Council, with prizes provided by council members.

This student-led initiative has become a yearly way for ADHS students to give back while having fun together before the winter break.

“On behalf of the C4K Foundation, we are incredibly grateful to the students at Almonte District High School for continuing this wonderful tradition,” said Laura Oliver, President of the Champions for Kids Foundation. “Fundraisers like this show how students can make a meaningful difference for their peers. The generosity and leadership shown by the ADHS Student Council will help ensure that more students across the UCDSB can participate in extra-curricular opportunities.”

The ADHS Student Council members who helped organize the event include:

  • Bodhi Barringer (Grade 9)
  • Karissa Bianconi (Grade 10)
  • Mikaela Gravel (Grade 9)
  • Charlotte Kennedy (Grade 10)
  • Chloe Kennedy (Grade 10)
  • Dorothy Rose Lockhart (Grade 11)
