December 20, 2019 (South Mountain, ON) - Students and families at Nationview Public School are going into the holiday season with warm bodies and hearts.
In November, Nationview Public School students held a clothing drive, which was spearheaded by Kindergarten teacher Amie Scott. The clothing drive was a means to help families save some money on needed winter clothing, while being mindful of the impact that buying new has on the environment.
The school community was generous with their donated items and the families that came to shop left with full arms. All items were sold by donation only, generating a total of $75.
Community business owner and volunteer firefighter Devon Byers heard of the drive and donated $25 to top up the amount to $100.
The school chose to continue the giving by donating the funds raised to Champions For Kids and presented Champions for Kids Co-Director of Fundraising Christie Reitsma with the funds today.
Thank you Nationview Public School for your support!
