Nationview Public School held a winter clothing exchange in December where all proceeds went towards Champions for Kids Foundation and now they are at it again.
Nationview is proud to announce its latest fundraiser, The Best Seat in the House! All students' names were entered into a draw and additional tickets were purchased for $1 during the first week of February.
Three lucky winners were drawn at the start of the school’s latest character assembly and received a prime seat on a comfy couch, a juice box, and bag of popcorn to enjoy during assembly. Between the two fundraisers, students and staff raised $428.30.
Principal Candy Campbell says at Nationview Public School, we believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
“We are proud to support the Champions for Kids Foundation and hope that our students, staff, and families will join us in raising money for this worthy cause,” said Campbell.
Champions for Kids supports students by helping them take part in sporting activities, music lessons or other opportunities in our communities so they can thrive beyond school walls. Since its inception in 2008, the foundation has raised over $2 million for students and families. The foundation’s success can be attributed to the generous donations and volunteer work from UCDSB students, staff and community partners.
